CLIENT

PGC Solutions is a Minnesota-based manufacturing company that creates gaskets, seals, adhesives, and other engineered parts for multiple industries. With clients from industrial, military, aerospace, defense, and medical sectors, PGC manufactures products for large companies around the world.

CHALLENGE

PGC wanted an environmentally-friendly solution to reduce their material ending up in the landfill.

SOLUTION

During a complete site and operations analysis, TVG Waste Solutions found opportunities to divert waste to a “waste to energy” facility and identified a list of items that could be recycled. TVG secured a new waste hauler with more competitive pricing and helped PGC source new equipment to better manage their waste. TVG also provided ongoing detailed support for current and future materials used in their manufacturing.

RESULT

PGC has reduced its waste by almost 40%. The remaining waste is now used to generate electricity. To date, PGC now utilizes 6 new recyclable waste streams — 2 of which produce revenue.


This new, more sustainable system helps them save over 25% from their old hauling service.
